Jedi Jim – The Star of the Boardroom Wars
It was Boys v Girls again and this time it was mobile phone apps with the teams having 2 days to design, build and sell them.
The boys seemed to almost all want to be Project Manager but it eventually went with Leon, whilst Edna was the only one from the girls and straight away got a sub team out doing research.
The rest of the girls sat down with app designers Grapple to brainstorm and the arguing started to creep in…not a good sign. Meanwhile the boys came up with a regional slang app – then cue the girls coming up with an annoying noise generator.
It was “Slang-a-tang v Ampi Apps”. Okay, so not quite “Alien v Predator”…
At this point though we were wondering if they had grasped that they were aiming at a GLOBAL audience. Time would tell.
Both teams having had their app developed overnight went out to various online companies to pitch to. And again Jim jumped in to save the day when Vincent dried up. And yes we are becoming a fan. Is he this year’s Stella?
Pitches done and back at Earls Court, the boys got 2 of the 3 online sites but the girls one was a big one – something nobody seemed to pick up on. The presentation seemed to show the boys one being better received, but what would the actual downloads be?
Back in the boardroom and the boys all loved their app whilst the girls had 5 out of 8 that didn’t like it. Bit late by then really 
However, despite a slow start the girls won 10,000 to 3,000 and a meal with Michael Roux Junior. Not sure who was more suprised at them winning though!
In selecting who was to face the board Leon initially picked Jim and Alex however in an almost Jedi mind control moment, Jim had Leon switching himself with Glenn.
“Well then I’m not the person to be bringing in. It’s obvious” said Jim
“Yes it’s obvious” said Leon

It was a close call for Leon and Glenn never really looked like he’d be fired so for the second week running Alex was up for not doing anything and this time he got the Firing Finger.
